Feeling Fall

Hurray for Fall, my favorite season of the year!

I always get a burst of creative

energy this time of year. I am hugely inspired by the colors, smells and "feel" of Fall. The kids are back to school and I once again have time to focus on my

artwork. I've been busy working on some Halloween decor and other pieces

infused with the spirit of Fall.

Make time to enjoy this short, but oh so beautiful time of year!

Backyard Canvas

I look for inspiration everywhere and last week I found it right in my own backyard. Next to painting, gardening is my second love. So, while watching the beauty of my summer garden unfold, I thought " Why not take the colorful canvas of my backyard and put it onto the canvas in my studio?"

So a few happy hours later, a new crop of "Coneflowers" and "Black Eyed Susans" were blooming in my studio! Art and nature, nature and art. I love 'em both!

Summer Nights

S'mores roasting over the fire pit, chasing fireflies, dodgeball in the alley. The simple things bring me the most JOY. It's these slice of life moments that inspire me to create. If only there were a few more hours in the day...

All-Niter

I was "in the zone last night" and stayed up until 4:30 working on my new website. Wish there was another time of day I could be so productive but my "two joys/ two monsters" simply won't allow it! I'll be tweaking it over the next several days and updating it regularly. Gotta love Vistprint when even a techno-phobe llike me can create a cute, customized website!
