About
the Art
Two
Joys - Kid Inspired Art features whimsical, original hand-painted
artwork to complement your child's room decor. Choose from canvases,
growth charts, floor mats, and birth announcements. Personalization
and custom orders are available. My original canvases are painted
on fully-wrapped, gallery-quality artist's canvas. Pieces come ready
to hang on a coordinating ribbon. Birth announcements and growth
charts are painted on double-primed artist's canvas and hung from
a wooden dowel finished with ball finials. Floor mats are painted
with high-quality acrylic paints on the reverse side of durable
vinyl flooring. Each mat is then finished and sealed with up to
five coats of water-based polyurethane. All pieces are hand-made
and personally signed.

About
the Artist
I have always loved art. I was the kid whose school notebooks were
filled with page after page of doodles - hearts, stars, swirls - you
name it, I doodled it. Then came the "horse phase", the
"Ziggy phase" and finally the "landscape phase"
(after I got my first real art kit for Christmas).
Then
I had to grow up and get a real job: Speech-Language Pathologist.
After practicing speech pathology for about five years, I gave birth
to my first joy - my daughter and about three years later my second
joy - a son. About a year after my son was born, my newest baby
"two joys - kid inspired art" was born out of a undeniable
need to create art and fill my days with more than "mommy-hood."

My
children truly do inspire my creations - whether it be the theme,
the colors I choose, or the ultimate design, there is a little bit
of them in everything I do. I strive to capture the innocence and
brilliance of childhood through my artwork's simple images, playful
colors and words any child (or anybody for that matter) should live
by - dream, imagine, wonder, explore, love, etc. But mostly I paint
because it just makes me happy. I hope my art makes you happy too.
Enjoy and thanks for looking!
Jenny
